Typically, Pancha Karma, the seasonal cleansing program recommended in Ayurveda, is done atleast seven days in a row, here in the west. In India it is often done for 21 days. It is also usually done at a facility, like a resort, healing center, or spa. In India where labor is inexpensive people can afford to do a 21 day program. In the United States however, a typical Pancha Karma program which promotes vibrant health and healing, can cost anywhere from $1200 to $5000.

Initially, it might appear a bit difficult to make clarified butter as you have to observe the consistency a lot of times, in obtaining the main ingredient- butter. Avoid unhealthy fats: Manmade trans fat is highly processed and bad for your health. Your body does not know how to metabolize these fats, so they wreck havoc on your cells and block necessary enzymes, nutrients, processes, and arteries. They also lower immune response making you vulnerable to sickness and disease. On top of those negatives, trans fats disable Low density lipoprotein receptors, resulting in a crisis state at your liver and the production of even more LDL! Consume trans fat and you can say hello to atherosclerosis, diabetes, cancer, and obesity.

Watch the sneaky fat makers. You may not realize how much that skinny latte, low-fat yogurt, spoonful of sugar, etc is affecting your waistline. With just a week to change, won't you do this for a better 'YOU'? This means no sugar laden beverages. This includes sugar in tea/coffee, milky tea/coffee, fruit juices (even fresh), artificial sweeteners of any kind, including diet soft drink (studies have shown that these trick your hormonal system and cause a fat storing reaction). Also cut out the low-fat products which are generally laden with sugar, and even if they're not, they're still not fresh food, and say no 100% to any kind of sneaky snack. That means not even one jelly baby! It really does all add up.



By the way, when you have limited options, eating grain-fed ruminants is still better than opting for a plate of pasta or some other high-starch, high-sugar "meal". Not click here ideal, but certainly better in many ways.

This can apply to junk food or sweets that are offered to the kids, or extra servings of food, or a buffet-type spread at a party, etc. It can also apply to the healthy food in our own home.
